US Secretary of State, Hillary Clinton has praised President John Evans Atta Mills and his colleague African leaders attending this weekend’s G8 Summit for their role in tackling food insecurity on the continent.

President Mills left Accra last night to attend the 38th G8 Summit in the United States.

He will take part in discussions aimed at accelerating food security in Africa.

President J.E.A. Mills is reported to have told the Ghanaian community in Senegal that he will ensure that the country remains peaceful during, before, and after the December polls.

President Mills is in Senegal to participate in the investiture of President Macky Sall.

President John Evans Atta Mills left Accra for Abidjan this morning to the commercial Capital of Ivory Coast, Abidjan  for the extra ordinary summit of the Economic Community of West Africa States (ECOWAS) to participate in the deliberation of the recent mutiny that ousted the Malian government
